FULL TIME ACTING PROGRAM

The Actors Conservatory - is dedicated to providing students with a concentrated, conservatory-style program that embodies multiple techniques and refined actor training.

The Program will consist of 1000 contact hours and up to 200 hours of additional components, offering intense personal and career development with professional coaches and industry professionals in the heart of Hollywood. Artists will develop skills specific for the US & International market across stage and screen in the following areas: Acting & Audition Technique; Truth In Performance; The Business of Acting; Voice & Movement; The Authentic Voice; Film Production & Development; Creating Your Own Content; The Actors Space: Personal Development, Self Care, Goal Setting & Intentions; Theory & History; Building & Creating Business Teams; Visa's & Immigration; Performance Showcases; Building Industry Relationship and more.

1-Yr Program structure is broken down over the following 4 semesters:

  • SEMESTER 1 (WORK, EXPLORE, DISCOVER): Students will participate in vigorous training over 5 days a week. Covering units included in the 101, 102, 103, 104 and 105 curriculum.
  • SEMESTER 2 (PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTION): Students will be introduced into the world of performance and production. Preparing for a showcase, undertaking speciality masterclasses, producing a short film and engaging in a "work/study" style semester.
  • SEMESTER 3 (APPLYING THE TOOLS): Students will return after the Christmas/NY break to regular classes over 2-3 days per week covering outstanding units included in the 101, 102, 103, 104 and 105 curriculum.; as well as rehearsals for a professional play and engaging in their student assessment. The assessment will ask the students to produce a short film, with assigned group, time limit, allocated budget and most importantly applying the tools they have learnt through the first half of the year. Students will be graded on performance, production, collaboration and creativity.
  • SEMESTER 4 (PATHWAY TO PROFESSIONAL): Students will return for their graduation semester with two major assessments prior to Graduation Week. The first will be to write, produce and star in a professional theatre production to be entered into the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Students will asked to collaborate in groups, work with mentors and teachers to construct their piece, but must be actively producing this independently across the LA Theatre scene. In addition, students will have to complete a final short film of their choosing. This may be completed in groups or individually. Selected pieces will be showcased across Graduation Week including short films, excerpts of plays and exceptional performance pieces from each student. During Graduation week a number of industry professionals will be invited to attend.

Our creative artists always leave with a better understanding of the trials and tribulations associated with a working career in Hollywood, but more importantly you'll discover your unique and authentic voice, identify strengths and areas for growth and have the courage to confidently engage, take control and make decisions about the next stages of your career path. Empowering you to not only pursue what you love, but with the freedom to do it as  YOU.  You will be prepared for anything the industry may propel at you so when opportunity presents itself, success is always possible!
